Job Title: Senior Project Manager/Project Architect

We have a current opportunity for Senior Project Manager/Project Architect to join our San Francisco office in our Workplace Studio and be a lead in our base building workplace portfolio. This is a senior level, high profile position that has a strong public facing aspect and an opportunity to leverage existing relationships in the market.

We are seeking a talented individual who is committed to design excellence, who thrives in an environment of collaboration and who demonstrates a high degree of creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Candidates must be proactive, motivated, and experienced in working directly with clients.

Working with us, you will:
•Work closely with the Workplace Studio leadership to expand the base building portfolio. Perform architectural assignments by applying architectural standards.
•Participate in Business Development and marketing activities in conjunction with others.
•Work directly with clients on a regular basis
•Perform work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
•Supervise the preparation of architectural drawings.
•Responsible for assisting the teams in developing and documenting a shared vision and work plan for each project.

We are looking for:
•15 + years of experience with an emphasis on shell and core.
•Licensed Architect in California required.
•Experience in leading other architects and project groups required.
•Experience in conceptualizing and developing building massing, layout, etc. and presenting concepts independently.
•Proficiency in Revit.
•Strong leadership, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
•Confident and effective interpersonal and time management skills.
•An articulate presenter.
•Comfortable participating in Business Development and marketing activities.

SmithgroupJJR offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefit package, including 401(k) and continuing educational reimbursement. We offer 3 weeks of paid time off within the first year of employment, with the option of purchasing additional time off, and pay for 8 federal holidays. We also offer an alternative work schedule that provides employees with an additional 15 days off per year (usually Fridays) to help with work/life balance.
