Meeks + Partners Celebrate 35 yrs With New Green Studio

Architectural firm Meeks + Partners has announced the launching of the M+P Green Studio. Led by a three-man team of LEED-accredited professionals, the studio will incorporate sustainable strategies into the planning and design of multifamily developments. In addition to LEED guidelines, the M+P Green studio team members will incorporate the green initiatives set forth in the newly-adopted National Green Building Standards for the USA.

"Whether it is repositioning an existing multifamily development in the market to incorporate energy efficient designs and optimizing its performance or designing a new property, we are committed to design ingenuity as it relates to cost controls and the positive impact left on the environment and the community," stated Donald J. Meeks, Chairman of Meeks + Partners.

"We have teamed up with experienced consultants who share our philosophy in becoming more environmentally responsible. Our clients have led the way in numerous ways as they respond to the lifestyle changes of residents who are significantly more sensitive to sustainable principles."

One of the foundations of the M+P Green Studio is to lay the groundwork for new directions in making sound land-use decisions. With the implementation of the program, the team reviews the site plan, building mechanical systems and material selections. "Our goal is to reduce the energy consumption and to make the buildings more efficient, which will reduce our clients' operating costs and responds directly to market demand," Meeks stated.

"As this year marks our 35th anniversary, we take pride in producing exceptional design and planning solutions that are strategic, cost effective and on time. Our goal is to improve a building's performance and efficiency and to design a unique environment for the residents," Meeks said. "By being responsive to our clients' needs and by defining a clear architectural language, our firm strives to create an innovative and uplifting destination that inspires its residents and the local citizens."
